Villa Corliano is part of the Consorzio Chianti Colli Fiorentini (Florentine Hills Chianti Consortium), an association founded on 5 September 1994 by a group of wine-growers who felt it was important to promote their land and the products that they were able to produce from it. The denomination Chianti Colli Fiorentini encompasses a large geographical area of the Chianti region and comprises 18 townships in the Florentine hinterlands, including Lastra a Signa. The logo that marks the products of the companies associated with the Consortium is the "Marzocco", the lion rampant that crowns the tower of Florenceā€™s Palazzo Vecchio, its halberd ironically replaced by a goblet of wine.
